This collection contains manuscript notes of an early Boulder history by Andrew, correspondence on historical topics, and copies of newspaper articles about the Boulder County Pioneers Association. Also included are legal papers of the David Hogarth estate, the Andrew Macky estate, the Moffat Lakes Resort Company, the Vineland Lateral Ditch Company, a scrap album concerning World War I, and a copy of Frederick Law Olmsted Jr.'s book The improvement of Boulder, Colorado.

Henry Orestes Andrew was born in Boulder on 23 November 1874, and died in 1949. His parents arrived in Boulder in 1870 from southwestern Pennsylvania, after a short stay in Illinois. His father served as a county commissioner in Boulder County. Henry Andrew attended the White Rock country school, and then the Boulder public schools.
